With roots in Japan, Ebara Engineering Singapore Pte Ltd started operation in Singapore in 1983. Ebara is one of the world’s principal manufacturers of transfer machinery for fluids and gaseous substances, with particularly strong positions in pumps, compressors, fans, and chillers. It is also a prominent contractor for environmental engineering systems and equipment, including water treatment systems and solid waste processing and utilization plants.
Over the years, Ebara Engineering had experienced rapid growth and they needed to upgrade their office facilities and their data storage system. At Ebara, information increase at exponential rates. Reliable and scalable storage systems are essential for storing and distributing valuable knowledge. Ebara wanted a centralize storage system where all employees are able to store and share information. Ebara was looking for a secure storage system where information is protected and is also compatible with their Novell servers.

Ingrasys NAStorage 8420 RR server is integrated with the Data Archiving function that helps storage administrators to archive data on a regular basis according to different data retention policies. It is also able to support Ebara’s Novell servers and with an Access Control List (ACL), Ebara is able to establish authorizations settings so as to ensure security of information.
SDB Imaging’s recommendation of using Ingrasys NAStorage8420 RR had helped Ebara tremendously. With a central storage system for all its information, Ebara has saved on space and also the resources when it comes to document management.
