Since 1985, Amore Fitness has been the leading ladies-only fitness centre in Singapore. Amore Fitness branches have located throughout the whole of Singapore, and their number of  members has increased tremendously over the years.

The Challenges
To enhance their service system, they are looking at a centralised storage to store all the customers’ data. The HQ office and the branch offices must be able to access this information. As the customers’ data is essential to Amore Fitness, they need a reliable and secured way to store their data. Also, they were looking into disaster recovery and a scalable storage system for their expanding business.

The Solutions
SDB propose the Ingrasys 4400RS as a centralised storage for their centre. On top of that, a second unit as a disasters recovery unit has been proposed too. This unit is on an active on-line synchronisation with the main unit in the main branch using the Ingrasys SmartSync features. Ingrasys allows them to expand either by adding hard disk of increasing the  number of units by using the Ingrasys SmartExtend options. Ingrasys Access Control List (ACL) solved the security issue for them. The ACL allow permission setting from the user  level, folder level down to the file level. In addition, users can also set usage quota to the users as well as folders.

The Results
Amore Fitness is ecstatic with the SmartSync features as it allows them to have a replicated copy of the storage kept in another branch. This gives them the assurance that they will have  replicated data to depend on for business continuity. The ease of use and security is what they like in the Ingrasys NAStorage. They do not need to spend too much time in the  training as long as they are assured that only authorised personnel is able to read certain files. Therefore they do not need to worry that the data will be divulged or altered by anyone  else.
