Pratt & Whitney is a pioneer in flight and engines technology. Since 1925, Pratt & Whitney’s engines have broken the barriers of time and the distances between people and places. The Challenges
Over the years, Pratt & Whitney have patented hundreds of innovations, from heat-resistant coatings to aerodynamic blades for corporate jets, commuter aircraft and helicopters.  Today, they wanted to share all these knowledge with all their engineers worldwide. Initially, they planned to have a CD/DVD Jukebox to share manuals among the engineers. However, they realised there are limitations of the Jukebox. First of all, they have more than 50 engineers worldwide that will log into the Jukebox at the same time. However, the Jukebox only  allows limited number of drives for users to access. Secondly, the initial cost of having a Jukebox is extremely high. Thirdly is the durability of the CD & DVD. They only have one copy  of the CD/DVD manual. If they use the Jukebox to retrieve the data from the CD/DVD, the CD/DVD will be read and written excessively, causing the CD/DVD to be faulty over time.

The  Solutions
To overcome the limitations of Jukebox, SDB proposed Ingrasys NAStorage 4400RS to be used as a virtual CD/DVD server.
