NEC’s FT servers support Microsoft® Windows Server® 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition, Windows Server® 2008 Enterprise x64, and Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 5.2, and allow these operating systems and software applications to run with no special modification required.

Out-of-Box Setup
NEC Express5800/ft series servers are single servers running a single operating system. For this reason, setup is identical to any other server, without any special considerations for the faulttolerant capabilities. The availability of an entire system can be improved  simply by replacing an ordinary server with an NEC FT server.
